Colorado Potato Beetle Control; Furadan 4F Comparisons, Grand Forks, Nd, 1994
Abstract
Abstract A field was planted on 11 May using certified B-sized Norchip potatoes. Soils are of a fine texture (clay), and were dry at planting time. Plots were 4 rows 36 inch wide, 25 ft. in length with a 6 ft. alley at the ends. Treatments were arranged in a RCB design, replicated 4 times. Soil treatments were applied into a trench 2 inches above the seed piece on May 11, and covered with dry soil. Foliars were broadcast in 20 gal total material at 40 psi using a hand held CO2sprayer. Application dates were 1, 28 July and 11 Aug. Conditions in July and August were very wet with standing water often present.
