Local Knowledge Graph (31 entities)
Loading graph...
Description
Used raster analysis in ArcGIS to identify suitable ground squirrel habitat by combining landcover and canopy height data, then calculated distance-from-cover metrics using buffer operations. This method refined previous field-based approaches for locating and measuring meadow characteristics.
Typical Equipment
- ArcGIS
- RMBL 1m resolution Basic Landcover Map
- RMBL 1/3m resolution Canopy Height Map
Output Measurements
- meadow locations
- maximum distance from cover
- total meadow area
- internal area measurements
