Intended Beneficiaries e Gunnison County's Community Housing efforts will seek to insure that a broad range of housing opportunities are available for a diverse population. Emphasis will be targeted on year-round residents though the needs of seasonal workers who support our economy are not to be ignored. e Inthe future, at least 25% if not more of the county's housing should be appropriate and affordable for families with children. (In 2000, 25% of the county's households included at least one child.) e Inthe future, the percentage of housing available and affordable for seniors should increase with growth in demand above the 2000 level of 11%. e Efforts to address the unique housing needs of specific market segments, like Hispanic workers, should be considered.
