Use our statement developed at “Brainstorming Session” last Tuesday combined with statement by Bill Roseberry (some excellent goals). 1, Development Approval Process a. Streamline the process to be completed with in a reasonable time. b. Base approval or rejection on need, compatibility with Master Plan and established criteria. c. Provide incentives to promote reasonable costs within approved housing developments. 2. Land Use and Location of Housing a. Incorporate Municipal Urban Plans and three mile plan in County Mater Plan. b. Define one mile ring around existing town and apply zoning of permitted uses. c. Base Housing location on existing infrastructure and utilities. d. Integrate housing with transportation solutions. e. Develop flexible growth strategy that should be demand driven. 3. Financing and Infrastructure Plan a. Establish a Home Buyer Training Program to assist residents with qualification and down payment. b. Establish a Housing Trust to purchase vacant housing for rehabilitation and sale. c. Provide incentives to develop infrastructure capable of expansion to future development
